Do you like my new theme? I thought it was time for a change. The header is a picture I took while I was on a Jeep tour in Aruba.

So, funny story real quick while my Western Civ professor thinks I’m taking notes. When it rains I USED to wear my super cute boots from target, but they have a hole in them now so I can’t wear them. Now, since there is nothing I hate more than wet jeans I wear heels when it rains. IM SORRY! I KNOW ITS SILLY! I know, but I just hate that feeling of the wet jeans sticking to my legs. It freaks me out. I cant deal with it. So anyway, I’m walking to class in my super cute AE wedges and I run into my professor. I’m ahead of him and I go “I’m not late! I swear!” and then he RUNS to get in front of me. When I walk in the class he points at me and goes “LATE!” He has way too much time on his hands. Uh oh. He just wrote Treaty of Augsburg on the board. Anybody know what that is?

Aren’t you proud? You have been able to read my ramblings 4 DAYS IN A ROW! That’s like a record or something. Anyway, yesterday I had lunch with my lovely friend Sarah and her baby Evan. Now, I love babies. I think they are adorable and cute and if you let me I will gladly hold your baby so you can go eat lunch in peace. But Evan, he needs to stop growing. Like fo’ real. Just stop. This kid is just too cute, you have no idea. He’s like a mini, less hairy hobbit. Who claps. It’s ridiculous. But he needs to stay like this and not grow up. Because he’s too cute. I generally like kids. Unless it is the screaming kid in Target. But we wont go there. Mamma didn’t raise no fool.

They really should, because those little suckers have saved my life on more than one occasion. Don’t judge me! Have you ever taken Physiological Psychology?! Do you know how boring it is? It’s REALLY BORING! But anyway. On to Stockholming myself Day 3.

Ok, so here is what I look like at 9:30 in the morning! Who is awake at that ungodly hour? ME! That’s who! I’ve been wearing the same make-up style since I was 15, so if anyone has found a smokey-eye for dummies let me know. The picture on the right is my Ben Folds t-shirt that I can never wear again. As you can see my face matches the shirt now. I loved that shirt. But, on the upside I fit into my jeans from last year today! My size 8 jeans! WAHOO!!! Last summer I was down to a 6! A 6 internet! I got to wear my size 6 jeans ONCE before school ended and my dance classes let up and then I put weight on over the summer because I couldn’t find a job and hate exercise. So this year I was back up to a 12, then more recently a ten. This is BIG NEWS internet. BIG NEWS! I don’t think that I’ve ever explained why I am doing this delightful project. I’m a curvy girl. I’ll never be a size 2, and I’m kind of ok with that. But like, I still want to be skinny or at least fit. Obesity and PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and diabetes run in my family and I do not want to be the next person to get them. I try to eat healthy, I really do but it sucks when you are just cooking for one, like what’s the point in making food if you are just going to have to eat the SAME THING FOR THE NEXT 4 DAYS SO IT DOESNT SPOIL?! You know? But I try. I eat a lot of Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine and every once in a while I’ll make a big batch of stir-fry (Jamie Oliver would be so proud). So my goal in this project is to not only see how my body is changing as I try and stick to my healthy meal plan, but also to take note of which clothes fit my body and which don’t.

First: Stockholming myself Day #2. Go see Temerity-Jane to see what it’s about.

So, I was wearing my totally awesome Ben Fold t-shirt until I saw the picture. THATS going back in the closet FOREVER! Please note the tiny slice of backpack because I am a srs student. I will finish making my bed at some point. I promise.

So, the title of today’s post gets down to several things. Firstly, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief was an EXCELLENT movie, although Pierce Brosnan as a centaur kind of freaked me out. I mean, come on. Half horse? The heck Pierce? Secondly. I hate my former linguistics professor. Enough said. Thirdly I steal words! I do, it’s terrible. If you ever listen to me talk it’s really confusing because I’ll be talking along in normal English and then I’ll use words like: bin, pop, lawl, internets, sassy, fo’ shiz, fo’ real etc. It was really bad before I took my WoW hiatus. Like, every conversation used words I had to explain. I still do it. Not only does it confirm my nerdom to everyone but it makes people walk away in the middle of our conversations. Which, is in itself a useful thing sometimes. I’m trying to get some of my sorority sisters to join me in my WoW quest once the school year is over, but no luck so far.

So, lessons for today:
1. Don’t say anything cool around me because I will make it mine.
2. Don’t wear your Ben Folds t-shirt in public.
3. Play WoW with me.

Stockholming Myself

TJ has started the Stockholming Project. I feel like it’s a fun idea. It’s looking at yourself every single day until you like what you see – either through change or through acceptance.

Yes. I am standing on my bed. Don’t judge. I have a macbook and it takes the pictures FOR ME!

Now, on to Not Me Monday.
~I most defiantly did not skip all my classes today.
~I most certainly not going to go splurge on a new shirt that I can not afford
~I did not drunk text this weekend. That’s not something classy girls do!
~I am so not going to go to Quiznos 2 days in a row.
~I didn’t try to go to work wearning my slippers only to realize halfway there and have to come home.

Hello!

Graduate announcements are here and I need names and addresses!!! Please remember that I only have 25 so households will probably only receive one announcement (i.e. Sue, Dave and their kids will receive one announcement as opposed to the traditional 2 [one is traditionally addressed to adults and one to children...apparently] [this is a really long aside, it probably should have been it's own sentence] ). Also, please prioritize your list so I know who to cut first (i.e. That Bitch).

Well interwebz, Temerity Jane is trying to kill me…with laughter. DO NOT go to her blog with ANYTHING in your mouth. It will either a) end up spit out all over your macbook or b) choke you. I’m an artist. I bake, sew, watercolor, cross-stitch, draw, dance, and color guard (yes, I’m using it as a verb!). I create. That’s what I do. It’s who I am. My biggest fear with leaving college and entering the work force is that I won’t be able to create anymore (spreadsheets don’t count).

Hey internet. How are you? I’m good now that SNOWPOCALYPSE 2010 has passed.

Thank goodness for 4-Wheel Drive!

School is going ok. It’s been awhile since I took a gen-ed so I forgot that you should actually study for them. I think I’ll be ok. My Senior Psychology class (Physiological Psychology) is killer. It’s kind of interesting in an “I needed to fulfill a requirement and this is the only class that fit my schedule” kind of way. My research team’s experiment is looking at the effects of music on spatial reasoning tasks (read: How well can you do a maze while listening to music?). One of my group mates is a slacker, and I was concerned that we would have a repeat of last semester, but my third group mate is really awesome, so I’m not that worried.

Color Guard is going ok. The expected hostility is there and I’m in the back a lot…BUT….I have a sweet solo! It’s on sabre and it’s a pretty decent length. I will post a video when I get one. Sorority life is…odd. It was great but then we had a medical emergency and now it’s kind of falling apart and sad. Target is going great. Im working on getting trained at Guest Services (where you can play with TAPE!) and am a pretty good cashier. Yesterday a guess asked me if I could figure out his change if he gave me an additional $0.14, which ticked me off (fyi $0.86 + $0.14 = $1). Just because I work at Target doesn’t mean that I’m stupid, ok?

My roommate is really starting to tick me off (nothing new there). He’s just so dang LOUD! He’s loud when he leaves in the morning, he’s loud when he comes home, he turns his TV/Computer/Music on loud, he SNORES loudly. He contributes nothing to the household and even refuses to unload any dishes from the dishwasher that he doesn’t own (read: silverware). It’s very frustrating. But, I’m moving out June 1 (even if I don’t find someone to take over my lease). I’ve finally found a job that will pay me ok!
